discarded fabric scraps
Inspired by Nick Cave’s Soundsuits, this piece reimagines the role of a suit as enclosure. The suit is an abstraction of form, a barrier, and a projected identity. Hands break through, creating a single point of connection. A sheet of paper is passed back and forth between performer and participant. In turn, they add one line to the drawing. When the piece is determined to be finished by the participant, they paste their drawing to the suit, entering their work into the quilt.
